1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your jurisdiction) to use the Site.

2. Use of the site

The Site provides recipes, cooking guidance, and related editorial content for personal, non-commercial use. You may:

View and read content for personal use
Print or save individual recipes for personal cooking
Share links to pages on social media or with friends

You may not use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Site.

3. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including recipes, text, photographs, illustrations, design, logos, and code — is owned by The Recipie or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

What you may not do:

Republish recipes or articles on another website, blog, or printed publication
Copy, scrape, or systematically extract content for a database, AI training corpus, or aggregator
Remove copyright notices or credit lines
Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written permission
Sell, license, or commercialize any portion of the Site or its content

Limited fair use is permitted — for example, quoting a sentence with attribution and a link back, or featuring a recipe in a "5 best alfredo recipes" roundup with a link and image credit. If unsure, ask first: [email protected].

4. User content

If you submit comments, ratings, photos, or other content to the Site ("User Content"), you grant The Recipie a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Site.

You represent that any User Content you submit is yours, does not violate any third party's rights, and complies with these Terms. We may edit, remove, or refuse to publish any User Content at our sole discretion.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right
Submit false, misleading, defamatory, or harassing content
Impersonate any person or entity
Upload viruses, malicious code, or anything intended to damage the Site or other users' devices
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its servers
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) except for legitimate search engine indexing as permitted by our robots.txt
Interfere with the proper working of the Site

6. Third-party links and content

The Site may link to or display content from third parties (advertising networks, social platforms, embedded videos, affiliate links). We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that recipes will produce specific results in your kitchen. Cooking outcomes depend on equipment, ingredient quality, technique, and many other factors outside our control. See also our disclaimer page.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE RECIPIE AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, PERSONAL INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

These Terms are governed by the laws of United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved in the courts of United States, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
